About us

Dr. Altamirano is a renowned Specialist in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology, with more than 30 years of experience in the practice of medicine.

After obtaining his degree of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery in Ecuador, he immediately began his clinical experience as an Assistant faculty at the University Guayaquil and, also, working in a Cardiology Ward at Luis Vernaza Hospital, Guayaquil- Ecuador. From there, soon, he moved to the United States
where he worked in a Research dog lab in Atlanta, Georgia in 1982. He then began his post- graduate training at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University Of Miami where he completed his residency in Internal medicine for three years, his Fellowship in Cardiology for three years and finally an additional year as a Fellow in Intervention Cardiology.

Our patients can expect personalized attention that is only available from a solo-practitioner model. All our patients will interact with our physician on every visit, which provides the basis for a robust and meaningful longterm doctor-patient relationship.
